UPDATES!

Wow, it has been a long time since I've updated.  My apologies!  Let's see...

I'm 29 weeks pregnant today!

Baby #2 is a boy, I'm not sure if I had written that out here yet or not.  We announced to both families as we celebrated Christmas.  His name is still under wraps (we think we know what name we want to use but it isn't set in stone yet).  He looked nice and healthy at my 20 week ultrasound, so that's good - nothing to worry about on that front.

Since then, I've passed my one hour glucose screening (YAY!) but was also measuring small at my 28 week appointment.  The doctor ordered a growth ultrasound for my next appointment (32 weeks) to make sure everything is fine.  We both think the small measurement is due to the baby being positioned really low, but the scan will just make sure everything looks good.

I've been having some contractions and some cramping which are pretty uncomfortable.  I also still have a lot of hip pain, particularly after laying on the couch.  Nausea has also increased the past few weeks which isn't fun, but luckily no throwing up as of yet.  I'm also eating much less now, probably because the baby is a lot bigger than he used to be so my stomach doesn't have a lot of room for food now.

As for Peanut, she's doing well, although she has had a bit of the toddler dramatics and arguing lately.  We're working on that.  There have been more tears in our house than there used to be - she doesn't want to listen but doesn't want you upset with her.  She wants her way, too, She still has plenty of really sweet moments though, I love that kiddo!

Peanut absolutely loves gymnastics, and she has come so far.  In just 9 months, I can't believe the progress she's made.  She's one of the best in her class at listening, following directions, staying on task, and working hard.  I'm so very proud of her.  She also has really been enjoying swim time with my mom.  They have grandma and Peanut dates most Tuesdays and Thursdays and swim for about 45 minutes to an hour.  In her words, she "kicks her feet in the pool, and splashes, and blows bubbles".

Peanut is also POTTY TRAINED!! She is fully pee trained during the day, and we've had number two success once now.  I still put her in a pull up for nap and bed time because she is a heavy sleeper (she gets that from her Mama).  I'm so proud of her!

She is very excited for her baby brother and often comes to give him hugs and kisses and tell him that she loves him.  She is so incredibly sweet and this little guy is lucky to have such a wonderful big sister.
