Peanut has been doing two classes this term (Wed mornings with Miss Lina and Sat mornings with Miss Kristin). She has been thriving. She's starting to be able to jump backwards, she can go across the beam without holding on, she flipped herself over the bar without help for the first time on Wednesday, and she's becoming more confident in her capabilities.
She did have a little regression with regard to hopping on the beam by herself, but other than that I've been so impressed with how far she's come. She has come a long way in taking turns too. She's always been a good listener, but as an 18 month old it was hard for her to understand letting other kids have turns on the trampoline while she had to sit on the sidelines. On Wednesday, she got off the trampoline unprompted - TWICE - and offered her spot to the child waiting for a turn. I was such a proud Mama. At the age of two years, three months, that's awesome in my opinion. I know a number of other kids in her classes that are that age or older that still struggle with listening and taking turns and she's really doing well on both fronts. All kids have their own strengths and weaknesses, and I'm glad that's something that she's excelling at.
Way to go, Peanut!
