Updates

It has been quite a while since I last posted - things were very busy over the holidays, but I think an update is in order now that everything has settled down somewhat.

The week of Christmas we celebrated almost daily with different loved ones, which was great but we were all exhausted by the end of the week and Peanut was in need of a detox from all of the candy/cookies/presents.  The big hit gifts for Peanut were a sing along dvd, board/card games, the easel for Grandma and Grandpa's house, and princess toys.  The big hit gifts for Bug were a bouncy center, a learning to walk push walker with toys on the front, and some car toys.  Although he most appreciated the puffs he got in his stockings at the different houses :).  That boy loves to eat!

Bug is getting to be so big.  He's 8 months old now and has two teeth with a third almost through.  He crawls everywhere and is pulling himself up to stand very often.  When he gets excited his arms start swimming and his little legs kick like crazy.  He gives big smiles to his Mommy and his sister.  He usually takes two to three naps a day.  One longer (2 hour) nap in the morning and one or two short half hour naps in the afternoon.  He's sleeping from around 8 pm to 8 am with one wake up to eat around 10 or 11 at night usually.  Bug is having a harder time with teething than his sister did.  

Speaking of his sister, she is as fun and spunky as ever.  She is generally very sweet but she definitely has a sassy side.  She is doing two gymnastics classes a week right now and one swim lesson.  She can't wait to start preschool in the fall and I'm hoping to get her into a dance class in the fall also.  Outside of classes, she loves to paint/color/create, she plays with princesses all of the time, and loves to watch movies or play games on what she calls her Hi-Pad.
